Instructional Design

Beginning to End Studio

As an Instructional Designer my biggest challenge is to design learning experiences that are transformative and meaningful. I believe giving learners a sense of agency within an immersive environment, and offering educational experiences that resemble stories more than lessons is the way to go in this profession.

Through interactive content I apply the power of storytelling to engage learners in a variety of topics. I design activities that facilitate a strong cognitive presence and help learners construct their own knowledge and integrate it into their ideas and solutions. Mini-Case Scenarios, testimonial narratives, personal story accounts, and Work-Document Activities, among others, provide learners with the opportunity to work on argumentation strategies, which in turn leads to cognitive engagement.

The strong storytelling component, present in every course and activity that I design and develop, generates intimacy and immediacy, both key to also building social presence.

Both Design and Education are future-oriented disciplines and my passion for both has been growing out of the conviction that through my work I will be able to contribute to a much needed change in our society.
